FLASH
Flash was a 2 1/2 year old boy who
came into DAR&E a very unsocialized & scared boy. He was such a sweet
dog, but the world was a very scarey place for him, as well as the
people in it. In foster care Flash blossomed as he learned about racing
around a big yard in the sunshine, playing with other dogs and also
started to learn that people meant gentle hugs and lots of love and
TLC! After several months of work, Flash was ready to be adopted into
a new home with folks who would continue teaching him the loving,
positive side of life. He met the perfect family when Cheryl, Bobby
and Justin came to see him.
Our Flash now has a huge yard
to play in, 2 canine girls in his harem! and a very warm, loving
family who are seeing to it that he knows just how loved and special
he is. As Flash's foster Mom I couldn't be more happy and when I
got the following email it just warmed the cockles of my heart!
Thank you to Flash's new family for completing this Doberman's story
so perfectly!
Dear Jeannie!
How can I EVER thank you and DAR&E enough?!
I AM IN LOVE WITH FLASH!
We weren't home 10 minutes and Bobby was in love too!
It's the weirdest thing, I can't stand when he's not with me! I've
loved all the dogs I've ever had and currently have, but there is just
something about HIM! You probably already know, so I don't have to try to
explain it, but when I'm at work, I can't wait to get home to see him. He's
doing so well, you should be very proud of him! The work you have done has
made it easier for me! He is doing better every time I'm with him. He
never shys away from me, but it takes him a little while to be comfortable
with Bobby and Justin, a few minutes, and he's fine. I have a ton of
pictures of him running and playing to send you. I thought you might want to
add him to the success story section!
He is at this moment laying down
next to Cheyenne, our other Dobe. She is doing better with him, and only if he
bumps into her or gets a little too close to her bone, she'll bare a
few teeth or grumble a little, but she has not snapped at him again, so far
as I know. The fact that she's letting him lay right beside her while
she's chewing is unbelievable! He's definitely an angel!
Again, thank you so very much! God forbid, but if anything should
happen to Cheyenne, we would very much like to adopt again!
Hope all is well with all of your "children" !
Love,
Cheryl, Bobby and Justin
