Fiona ia a three year old black and rust female. Cropped and flopped ears, docked tail.
Good with kids. Best as only dog or with laid back male.
Fiona is no ogre. She is a sweet, loving, and very mellow young lady. She enjoys being near her people and will happily play with her bone or other toys to keep herself occupied as long as you are nearby. She LOVES the treat ball and will swat it around until every last crump has been removed. She does well with children and is very friendly with people.
She will benefit from obedience classes to help her to walk on the leash without pulling. She is VERY smart and knows sit, down, wait, and come. She has quickly learned the rules at her foster home, but needs reminders of what is expected of her. She loves her crate and will happily go in without fuss.
She does not like to be separated from her people and will leap (with the grace of a gazelle) over baby gates so she can stay close to you. Her foster home has a large yard with a 6 foot wood fence. While she hasn’t tried to jump it, she has stood against it when looking for a squirrel that escaped her. We recommend homes that have a tall fence or where she will be walked on leash regularly. Fiona isn’t high energy, but (as all dogs do) enjoys a long walk or run around the yard after being crated all day.
Fiona likes to be top dog, so would do best as an only dog or with a very docile male. We do NOT recommend she be placed with another female. She has not been bothered by loud noises or storms.
Fiona 's story is she was seized by AC as she wasn't being taken care of properly.
