Our dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on shots and microchipped.
Lexi is a 10-month-old black and rust Dobie girl. She has a docked tail and natural ears. She is utd on shots and has recently been spayed. She is ok with the brother cat, however, this cat knows how to put her in her place when Lexi gets too excited and rough. She has grown up on a farm with chickens and horses. She is too playful with the chickens, but so far when she “catches” one she has not harmed her.
Unfortunately, Lexi has become aggressive with her 8-year-old sister. Her older sister has Addison’s disease and we are not sure if the aggression is because of this fact. They were fine for several months together, but now they can not be in the same space without Lexi going after the older female. We are not sure if she is aggressive towards other dogs, she was fine meeting and playing with other dogs before the aggressive behavior started but I have not exposed her to another dog for a couple months. She has a biological sister locally we were having weekly playdates with and she was good with her. Since she is still good with the cat, I think it is specific to the older dog in my house. She can be a little whiny when she does not get her way or she wants you to do something. She has gotten better, but she is a talker.
Lexi has been raised on a farm, so her leash manors need a little fine-tuning. She is good with a choke chain on. She loves to run, a fenced backyard would be best for her. She comes back to me with a whistle and ‘here’ command. She knows sit, shake, leave it (working on it), down (her least favorite command), on, off, in, out. She knows some of her toys by name. She is very intelligent and will be the happiest working. I think she would love to do agility.
She is very much a Mama’s girl and wants to be with me all the time. She is happiest at my feet while I am on the computer or next to me on the couch cuddling. She is house trained, sleeps through the night, crate trained, but also perfectly fine to roam free in the house alone when I go out on errands. She has been exposed to young children with supervision.
It is with a heavy heart I rehome her. I love her but have to think of the health of my older Dobie girl too. I think she would prefer to be the only dog in the house so she can have your undivided attention. I am asking $300
