About Maxx

Maximus Apollo aka Maxx - Maxx is a super sweet, laid back, cuddly, teddy bear of a doberman.

Maxx came to DAR&E due to his owner's advanced age and failing health prevented them from continuing to care for Maxx properly. They have trusted DAR&E to find their beloved Maxx a home where he will be as loved and well cared for as he has been with them.

He weighed about 102 lbs when he came to DAR&E. Maxx has lost a little weight and added some muscle. I think 95 is probably a good weight for him.

Maxx is a sweet, playful boy who has been well loved and socialized all of his life and it shows. He meets people easily and LOVES to play in the yard with his toys.

Maxx is looking for a home that has a decent sized fenced yard that he can play in and a family that will have time to play with him. Maxx just turned 6 on April 11th. He has a medium energy level.

Maxx had a small growth removed from his shoulder when he was neutered. It was analyzed and found to be a very low grade, non-aggressive growth that is typically cured with removal.

Max is well house and crate trained although we have not had any reason to crate him because he is well behaved in the house. He rides well in the car.

Maxx is big and imposing looking but he a really nice boy who is pretty low maintenance. He is happy to be with his people and play with his toys in his yard. My guess is he wouldn't be good with cats. Due to his size, small dogs would probably not make great playmates for Maxx. He might accidentally hurt a small dog with is big feet.

If you are looking for a sweet, laid back boy, email to find out more about our Maxx.

This Is My Story

His owners were very sad to give up Max but due to their advanced ages and declining health they knew they needed to do what was best for Max so they asked DAR&E to find their beloved Max another home where he would be just as loved and well cared for as he had been with them.
