HELPING OUT

Monetary Donations

Thank you for considering a monetary gift to DAR&E. While we do charge an adoption fee, that fee is kept as low as possible to encourage adoption. Indeed, adoption fees covered only 40% of DAR&E's veterinary expenses in 2003 & only 50% in 2002. Generous cash donations from supporters like you are necessary for us to continue the work of saving Dobermans.

DAR&E is an all-volunteer (nobody in the organization gets a paycheck) Maryland non-profit with 501(c)3 status (that means your donation is tax deductible). We operate solely on donations and our own fundraising activities. If you'd like to make a monetary donation, please send it to:

DAR&E Treasurer
1304 Crows Foot Rd
Marriottsville, MD. 21104

Or donate by credit card using the PayPal or Just Give link below ~ Thank you!

Want to make a donation online? Fast, easy & secure donations can be made through PayPal or JustGive.org using your credit card. Click on one of the donate links below! Thank you!

Volunteering

We always need more foster homes and more volunteers to do home visits, transport dogs and help out at promotional events. To find out more about such opportunities, fill out a volunteer application or visit us at an event to chat!

Shop Businesses that help DAR&E! Please check out these dog related businesses that make donations to DAR&E for any purchase made from a DAR&E referral. Please ensure you let them know you were referred by DAR&E!!

Item Donations

We always need donations of crates, ex-pens, food, and used or "my-dog-just-didn't-like" beds, Halti or Gentle Leaders, toys, leashes and collars. Give us a call if you need a volunteer to pick items up or check our schedule of events and bring them to us at one of the events! The dogs appreciate it!

Food Lion MVP Cards

Go to Food Lion Shop and Share to link your MVP card to DAR&E!

Please note: Food Lion requires that we have 25 people signed up to gain donations from them, so please get your friends and family to sign up. You don't lose any of your Food Lion savings, but Food Lion will donate to our organization. Food Lion requires that you re-enroll each quarter. This only takes a moment of your time, so please consider registering your Food Lion card with DAR&E!
When looking for the DAR&E organization to "Register Organization", enter the city as Glen Arm and state as Maryland.

Remember the Dogs in your Will

You can make a lasting gift to the dogs by naming DAR&E as a beneficiary in your will, living trust, life insurance policy, pension plan or charitable trust. Doberman Assistance Rescue & Education is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and all such donations are tax deductible. DAR&E is one of the oldest and most successful breed rescue organizations i n the country and is a careful steward of donated funds. To ensure that your intentions are carried out according to your wishes, be sure to use our full name and address:
