Our dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on shots and microchipped.
My name is Corvo! I am a handsome 2.5 year black and tan male. I am 80 pounds, neutered, with a docked tail and natural floppy ears! Corvo is a loyal, kind and very intelligent boy, and loves to please. He has a very lax attitude and is always willing to lay down and curl up next to you or go out on a run, either way he will be totally content with life. He is UTD on shots and has had a Gastropexy (stomach is stapled to abdominal wall to prevent bloat).
Corvo has been with us since he was 5 months old, we rescued him from a backyard “Working Dog” breeder in Arizona who was just a terrible person and mistreated her puppies. We were glad we had the opportunity to get him in our loving hands and teach him what a caring family was like. Corvo loves his crate and is trained to return to it on command because he feels safe inside, he knows a slew of commands to include recalling on demand and is always up for an adventure, plus he LOVES to play fetch.
Corvo has been a dependable partner during training sessions, where he will pick up almost any command within minutes and is extremely driven to please you. He is also a wonderful running, hiking, and backpacking partner. He is built strongly and has stamina for days but is more than willing to stay curled up next to you on the couch all day just to be next to you.
Corvo does great at the boarders and doggy day care, he loves dog parks, he is comfortable at the vet, and is always willing to meet new people and dogs. He will let you trim his nails without any resistance, you can pull his food food away from him and he won’t complain. However, he has a couple quirks due to his first 5 months before he came to us, due to the fact that the breeder trough fed her dogs he will guard his food from other dogs, but only if they unfamiliar to him and they are right on top of his food. We have fed him simultaneously with other dogs that he is familiar with for the last 2 years 10 feet from each other without any issues outside of a couple of growls at first. He also is very uncomfortable around younger kids (under the age of 8-9) due to having no socialization with them and that most kids we have encountered with him are running and screaming and is just unfamiliar with this, with time and exposure this can be corrected.
He is a strong, reliable, and loyal dog, and it hurts us very much to rehome him, but it is the only way that we know of that would guarantee him a long happy life.
We have been so happy to have Corvo in our lives over the last 2 years, he has been a great friend to us and we are sad to have to find him a new family, but due to an upcoming move that we have no control over, Corvo is unable to accompany us due to a banned breed list in the area overseas.
