Purchase a $5 raffle ticket for this Woodford Reserve “Double XO Blend” bottle of whiskey worth over $250!
This unique whiskey was not distributed in the US and is a combination of two Woodford Reserve bourbons, both aged in freshly charred oak barrels. The first bourbon undergoes a 17-year aging process, while the second is aged for 7 years before being transferred to heavily toasted new oak barrels for further maturation.
The double maturation in the heavily toasted barrels infuses the whiskey with a luxuriously intricate flavor profile. Its aroma offers delightful notes of vanilla, caramel, and toffee, complemented by subtle hints of cinnamon and nutmeg.
The palate is full-bodied and opulent, presenting flavors of dark chocolate, dried fruit, and a gentle smokiness. The finish is long-lasting and comforting, with a lingering sweetness and a touch of spice.
