Are you ready to give a Doberman some hands on help?

If you would like to volunteer, please follow these easy steps to download a volunteer application and send it to our Volunteer Coordinator.  The form consists of about 10-12 simple questions, including personal and vet references, so you may want to have those names and phone numbers on hand.

To submit a volunteer application:

Download our volunteer application by clicking on this link.  In the "File Download" pop-up box, select "Save".  This will save the application to your computer.

Using your word processing software, complete the application by filling in the blanks.

Attach your document to your email or cut and paste it into the body of the email and send it to our Volunteer Coordinator at darevolunteer@yahoo.com.

NOTE:  You cannot email directly from this site.

Some of the tasks we need help with are:

   Fostering dogs in your home

   Transporting dogs or donated items

   Interviewing adoption candidates

   Contributing to the newsletter

   Fundrasing

   Participating in DAR&E events

Contacting adopters to assist after adoption

Conducting volunteer tasks from home (mailings, phone calls, etc.)

Hello & welcome!  What is there to know about volunteering with DAR&E, you ask?  Abandoned, neglected and abused Dobermans need a lot of love, nurturing and rehabilitation to successfully rescue and rehome them.  DAR&E volunteers work faithfully to meet their needs by conducting home visits, fostering the dogs in homes instead of kennels, and raising the resources to provide shelter, food, and health care for all of our dogs.  This is in addition, of course, to finding them forever homes.

It takes a lot of people working together to provide this committed level of care and we always need help with tasks like the ones listed on this page.  As the Volunteer Coordinator for the group, I want to encourage your interest in our efforts and provide information that may help you get started.

Volunteering is a rewarding way to spend more time with this wonderful breed and save lives at the same time; not to mention a great way to make new friends both canine and human!  DAR&E activity planning occurs primarily online and via email to allow easy and convenient communications between volunteers.  All of our efforts are 100% voluntary which means each person chooses what type of activities they get involved in and how much time they are able to give to the dogs each month.

For more details on some of the activities our volunteers help with every day or if you have questions and need more information about our group before making your decision, email me at darevolunteer@yahoo.com and I’ll be happy to help you out.

Thanks for caring so much about Dobermans and rescue too.  We’re all hoping to get to know you!
