Meet Raleigh! 🖤🐾

Raleigh is a beautiful 5-year-old Black & Tan Doberman (estimated birthday: November 2020) with a gentle heart and a loyal spirit. At 55 pounds, this sweet girl may be a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, she’ll become your devoted shadow.

Whether it’s going for a long walk, practicing obedience, learning new tricks, or simply curling up beside you on the couch, Raleigh is happiest spending time with her person. She’s incredibly smart, food-motivated, and already has professional training under her belt, making her an excellent candidate for continued training. She also rides wonderfully in the car and walks nicely using her e-collar and prong collar.

Because Raleigh can be sensitive to sudden movements and loud noises, she is looking for a calm, adult-only home with an experienced, confident owner who understands shy dogs and can help build her confidence. She is dog-selective, has not been tested with cats, and would do best as the only dog or with a carefully matched canine companion.

Raleigh is house-trained and knows her crate command, although she prefers not to spend extended time in a crate. She enjoys affection—especially ear scratches and those favorite booty scratches just above her tail!

Raleigh is blind in her right eye, likely since puppyhood, but she has adapted beautifully. It doesn’t slow her down, and she simply visits a veterinary ophthalmologist once a year to ensure her healthy left eye continues to do well.
