About Max

Meet Max! This handsome seven-year-old, black, cropped, and docked boy is as sweet as they come, though he hasn’t quite figured out how big he is — expect a lovable bull in a china shop rather than a lap dog. Max is looking for a home where his big heart (and bigger personality) can shine. We would love an active owner who can do things with Max, as he used to live on 10 acres and he loved running and playing.

Max is well-mannered around the house: he’s potty trained, neutered, and up to date on all his vaccines. He knows his basic commands and his off-leash recall is excellent. He has no bite history and gets along wonderfully with everyone he meets — other dogs, kids, adults, and even cats. The one exception: if a cat decides to run, Max’s instinct will kick in, and he’ll give chase. He does counter surf and is very food motivated. He loves car rides.

Max is ready to bring his sweet, goofy energy into a new family. If you think you could be the right fit for this gentle giant, we’d love to talk! I prefer a large fenced yard. Max is located in Remington, VA.
