About Jordan
Meet Jordan!
Jordan is a black-and-tan male Doberman with natural ears. He is approximately 1 1/2 years old and weighs 76 pounds.
Jordan is a spirited pup with tons of potential, looking for an experienced, structured home where he can thrive. He has a playful personality, but his high energy and enthusiasm require an adopter who understands working breeds and can give him clear, positive guidance. Jordan is food-motivated and will benefit from training. Like many young, high-drive dogs, his arousal levels can spike during play or when he encounters excitement outdoors. When overwhelmed, his default reaction has been typical “mouthy” behavior, grabbing leashes, or jumping up.
In dog playgroups, he showed an engaging push/pull play style, enjoying open sprints and interacting well with other dogs. Because he can get overstimulated by rough contact and physical pressure, he does best with dogs that match his running style rather than heavy wrestling.
Jordan’s ideal home will be an adult-only home or a home with dog-savvy older teens. He does not like someone lying on him. He is ready for his forever home. He just needs a dedicated handler ready to channel his intelligence and enthusiasm in the right direction! Jordan is at the Montgomery County Office of Animal Services in Maryland.
