Meet Cooper

Hi, my name is Cooper! I am a big, beautiful, exactly 2-year-old neutered European male dobie. I am a beautiful black and tan boy with cropped ears and a docked tail. I am a big boy at 100 lbs but sweet and silly. I have a lot of that fun puppy energy everyone loves in male dobies. I love making new friends, both human and dog, and I am great at adapting to new environments and situations. I am an active guy, good on a leash, house-broken, and very responsive to commands. I like kids, but I don’t know my own size, so I tend to step on them or bump into them. I am looking for a new owner who will give me a stable home environment and lots of space for me to be my big, happy self. Though I am a good listener, my new owner will need to be able to handle all 100 lbs. of me because I love bumbling around and jumping on laps. I get along great with other dogs and have loved living with my foster sister but have never met a cat. That said, I will likely get along with other animals as long as my owner shows me everything is ok. I love attention and time outside.

I am smart, learn very quickly, and have a strong desire to please, so I am really looking forward to obedience classes. I love my crate and can stay home alone for up to four/five hours, but any longer and I will need someone to come give me some time out and a walk. My foster family would greatly prefer I have a big fenced yard so I can easily get my big boy energy out. Cooper2 is fostered in Maryland.
