Hi, I'm Anubis

Status: adopted

About Anubis

Anubis is a handsome 78 pound, 2-year-old black and rust male with soft, almost velvet, fur. He has typical young dog energy and exuberance, loves playing with other dogs, doing zoomies in the yard and is a total wiggler when you come home to him. Even with all his energy, he is good to chill and binge watch your favorite show with you. He still wants to climb up on the furniture but is getting better. He is a typical curious Velcro Doberman that wants to be with you and see what you are doing. He is a loving guy and will be sure to remind you by putting his head in your hand if you aren’t paying him enough attention. He has a funny, expressive personality and will just about fall asleep with his head in your lap while you pet him.

It took him a couple of days to settle in and start eating but is all good now, he may need some time in his new home also. He will pull on his leash when walking because he is so excited, curious, and afraid to miss out on something. A gentle reminder is usually all it takes for him to settle back down. He knows commands of come, sit, down and is crate trained. He will try to escape the crate but if it’s well secured, he settles down and sleeps. He may bark as you leave but is good after that. He will chew on bedding or blankets in his crate but likes a filled Kong.  He is a power chewer that destroys toys and will counter surf. He doesn’t chew or bother anything inappropriate around the house and is house trained. He is unknown with children and cats; he doesn’t pay a lot of attention to the squirrels and rabbits. Some training on his house manners and exercise to burn off his energy will help him. He’s just a handsome, funny, loving Doberman looking for a new home.
