About Baxter

Meet Baxter!  Baxter is a very sweet 4 year old red/tan Doberman. Baxter has a gorgeous dark red coat, a docked tail and cropped ears that don’t stand up. He has the most adorable face! Baxter weighs about 75 lbs. 

He is house and crate trained. Baxter likes to have a bone or nylabone to chew on or just to have to carry around with him. He settles down well at night and sleeps through the night even though I don’t crate him. Baxter walks pretty well on a leash. He lived with a grouchy, old little dog in his previous home. I don’t know how he would be with cats but he seems pretty interested in birds, bunnies and squirrels.

Baxter isn’t much on playing fetch but a fenced in yard would be nice because Baxter loves to run around the back yard smelling all the smells and chasing birds.  Baxter was a well-loved pet before his family broke up. His family is divorcing so Baxter is looking for a new family that will have time to spend with him.  An active person or family that likes to hike and/or jog would be great. 

Even though Baxter is 4 he is no couch potato. He has plenty of energy to do fun things with his people.  Baxter is just a big hunka love looking for a new family to shower with affection.  Baxter meets people well and loves to go for car rides with you so if you are looking for a companion to go places with Baxter may be the dog for you!
