About Blaze

Blaze came into DAR&E’s care from a shelter in late October. A handsome fawn boy estimated to be 5–6 years old, he’d had a rough start, ending up in the same shelter three times before rescue finally found him.
During his time in rescue, Blaze received thorough medical care, including a neurology consult, MRI, and further diagnostic testing. Given his brain atrophy, after a series of tests his overall results were the best we could have hoped for.

DAR&E only places within the Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, Delaware, and in portions of both eastern West Virginia and southern Pennsylvania. Our dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on shots and microchipped.
