About Bruno

Meet Bruno! Bruno is a 2 year old red/rust male doberman. His tail is docked and he weighs a slender 75 Lbs. Bruno’s ears are cropped. Sometimes they will both stand, more often just the left will stand and sometimes he doesn’t hold them up at all. It really depends on whether he is alert or relaxed. Bruno is still very puppy-like. He has had training but forgets unless he is reminded of his training:)

Bruno came to DAR&E because his owner was overwhelmed with other responsibilities and did not have time for Bruno. They knew Bruno deserved better.

Bruno is your typical young dog that is distracted by all the cool things in life like food, birds, wildlife scents and did I say FOOD. Bruno is very sweet and wants to please you though so he has a great foundation for someone who is willing to put some work into him. He is truly a diamond in the rough waiting to sparkle for someone. Bruno is very friendly with people. At home he will give off a huge bark if he hears a stranger but is super sweet once he is assured they are ok.

Bruno is well socialized with other dogs and would welcome a nice girl to play with at home and/or playdates with other dogs. No cats for Bruno.

Bruno has always had someone around most of the time so he is seeking a home where he will not be left alone for long hours on a regular basis. He is not accustomed to being crated and will whine loudly.  Luckily he doesn’t really need to be crated. He is well house-trained and is not destructive. He loves chewing on bones and antlers. Bruno is a “blanket sucker”.  It is not uncommon with Dobes. Check out Youtube for videos of dobermans and their blankets.

Bruno needs a fence yard because he will not “do his business” on a leash.  If you are looking for a very sweet, energetic 2 year old Bruno may be your boy. Contact us if you have time and energy for a sweet 2 year old boy.
