About Dakota

Dakota greets everyone she meets with a wagging tail and gentle kisses. Dakota is calm and well-mannered. She is content to take naps and relax. If she is left alone she will whine and pace. She is not destructive but will chew a blanket. Her first day of unrestricted activity was December 9th (post-surgery) so she is just now beginning to take longer walks in the backyard and play with some of her outside toys. She sleeps through the night on her dog bed.

Dakota will do best in a new home where someone is home with her. She does well when riding in a car. Dakota did spend the Thanksgiving Holiday with another Doberman, Dolly, a 2-year-old female. While Dakota’s activity was still restricted at the time she got along well with Dolly. She would be a good companion for an older or more relaxed playmate rather than rough-housing with a young puppy.

Dakota is fostered in MD. If you are interested in meeting Dakota, contact DAR&E today.
