About Draugr

Meet Draugr

Draugr is a 4 to 5-year-old black/rust, neutered male Doberman that was found abandoned and rescued by Animal Control two years ago. He is large and athletic, weighing 92lbs at a healthy weight.

Draugr is well-trained and has been handled by a professional horse trainer for the past two years. He is crate-trained and house-trained. He knows all of his basic commands, including “sit,” “down,” “shake,” “come,” and started on “guard” (stands between your legs). He has been around horses for the past two years and enjoys his time turned loose on the farm. He does well with all female dogs he has met, and he does well with males after proper introductions. He does well with cats as well, though he will chase if they run. He has never caught or hurt one. He currently lives with two cats and a male Labrador in the house, as well as barn cats and horses at the farm. He loves kids, but can forget his size when playing with small children (such as toddlers) and may accidentally knock them over.

Draugr is a very loyal, loving dog with the typical Velcro personality of a Doberman. He can be off-leash with good recall and always stays nearby. On the leash, he is a perfect gentleman. He does not pull nor does he try to interact with other dogs/humans in public unless given permission. He is very much like a working dog. He travels well in the car and enjoys coming along wherever you go. He enjoys stuffed toys, but his favorite type of toy is a horse Jolly Ball.

Draugr will be adopted with all of his belongings, including his crate, food, and favorite brands of toys.
