About Jett

Jett is an absolute gem of a dog! She is a delicate and dainty little lady at just around 50 lbs. Jett is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and cuddly with her humans. She loves to lay on your lap and give you nose boops and kisses. Jett is a 1-year-old, natural-eared, docked, black, and rust girl.

Jett has had wonderful manners during her stay with us. No potty accidents, crate trained, does not counter surf and does not have separation anxiety. In foster care, Jett is accustomed to having her people around all day and would love a permanent home with a similar routine. Jett bonds closely with her people and enjoys their companionship very much. Her favorite place to nap is on any one of the couches in our house. She would need a home that welcomes her on furniture as openly as she is allowed here!

Jett is an absolute delight to have around! She is cautious when in new settings and may take her time showing her full personality. Jett is very motivated by food and treats and is a quick learner. Jett’s ideal home is one set in a rural or quiet suburban area. Loud traffic can make her nervous. Jett rides well in the car but can again be a little nervous, so she prefers to sit on the floor of the car instead of on the seats.

Jett is a medium-energy dog. She has plenty of energy to play when it’s playtime, but she settles beautifully in the house and will quickly curl up somewhere comfortable, preferably near you.

Jett is a princess who has taken the lead among the dogs in our home. She’s gotten along well with dogs in our home and those she’s encountered on leash. She’s a great communicator of her boundaries so, if adopted into a home with another dog, would do well with a dog that is intuitive, respectful, and willing to defer to her at times. She’s not a fan of sharing high-value resources with other dogs but we’ve managed this effectively by consistently feeding her in her crate and giving her her own space to enjoy high-value treats like bully sticks.

Jett is very agile and athletic and loves to run around our backyard at top speed. She enjoys chasing the frisbee and ball and while she doesn’t necessarily bring them right back to you, she easily gives them up for you to throw again. Jett does well on a leash but can pull if she’s eager to check something out.

Jett would love to have a family to call her very own. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!
