About Max

Max is a 3-year-old, black/rust, docked, natural-eared lump of sweetness that weighs in at around 74 lbs and has an average activity level.  Max is a sweetheart that has yet to meet a human he has not liked.  He is house-trained and spends his time while we are away in his ex-pen snoring away.  He’s learning how to wait to go out of a door until given the okay, he knows sit and down, has started to wait to eat until given the okay and we are working on him giving his paw.  He will need solid work in his leash manners.

We have never had an issue taking anything away from him and he has had no problems if you approach his bowl while he eats.  At night he sleeps on a bed in our room and from day one has just gone with the flow of our routine and has blended right in.  In his previous home, he lived with four other dogs and a cat.  He liked to chase the cat.

Max will make sure that you are never alone and will follow you wherever you go.  He will lay his head in our lap for love and will look up at you with complete adoration and just wait for you to pay attention to him.  He’s had baths and nail trims while with us and has done well with both.

Max is waiting for a family that will love him for who he is and will help him become the dog he can be.
