About Penny
Meet Penny, a 5-year-old spayed female who was lovingly surrendered to Crosspointe Animal Hospital due to medical issues her previous family could not manage. The doctors concluded through medical testing that she has an autoimmune disease that will require her to be on daily medication.
The good news? She has been doing WONDERFULLY on them! Over the past couple of months, she has already gained over 20 pounds! Penny is an energetic girl who loves tennis balls and is highly food-motivated.
She can be shy at first, but once she realizes you are her safe place, her loyalty and love are never-ending.
She will need to be the only dog in the house, as well as an owner who is committed to allowing her to get her energy out and also continue teaching her basic manners.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Penny might just be your girl!

DAR&E only places within the Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, Delaware, and in portions of both eastern West Virginia and southern Pennsylvania. Please do no apply to adopt if you live outside of those areas. Please visit our Adoption Process page for additional information on adopting one of our DAR&E Dobermans & an online application!
Our dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on shots and microchipped.
