About Pepper

Pepper is a handsome, all-natural, Black & Tan Doberman Pinscher born on November 5, 2022. Weighing approximately 95 pounds, he is a loyal, intelligent, and affectionate dog who forms strong bonds with the people he trusts. While he has the confident presence Dobermans are known for, Pepper is happiest relaxing close to his family and never turns down a good belly rub.

Having spent much of his life as a yard dog, Pepper is surprisingly calm indoors and has an excellent “off switch.” He is fully house-trained and crate-trained, enjoys riding in the car, and is well-mannered in the home. His favorite activities include chewing on natural bones, chasing balls, and spending time with his people.

Pepper thrives in a structured environment with clear expectations. He is a loving companion who enjoys quiet time with his family just as much as he enjoys playtime in the yard.

Due to recent life changes, Pepper is currently under stress and continues to work on leash manners. Because he was raised primarily as a yard dog, he is still learning proper leash-walking skills and can be reactive while on leash. He will need an experienced, physically capable adopter who is committed to continuing his training and management.

Pepper would do best in a home with adults or older teenagers, no other pets, and a large fenced yard where he can safely exercise and relax. To help ensure a successful transition, his adopter will receive lifelong professional training and behavioral support from Bark Busters trainer Jeanie Bieneck at no cost.
