About Rainey

Meet Rainey. She is 2 years old, about 65 lbs, docked tail, natural ears, and a pair of puppy dog eyes you won’t be able to resist. Rainey is a love bug and thrives on affection. She doesn’t need time to warm up to you, she’ll love you immediately and stick by your side wherever you go.

Rainey is a gentle, sensitive soul who learns very quickly and is easy to train, especially when there are treats to be eaten. She knows some of the basic commands; sit, down, paw. She rides well in the car, likes baths, loves peanut butter kongs, ice cubes, chewing bones, sunbathing, drinking from the garden hose, and giving stuffed animals a good shake. Rainey is crate-trained and doesn’t mind it. She stays in her crate when left alone during the day and sleeps there at night. She doesn’t make a peep and will wait patiently for you to open the door. She has even put herself to bed a couple times. Rainey is an early riser and is definitely a morning dog. She is the perfect ratio of play vs. chill and loves to snuggle with you on the couch when it’s time to relax.

Rainey loves walks and is working on her leash skills. Most of the time she ignores dogs she sees. She has not had the opportunity in her foster neighborhood to say hello to other dogs. It is unknown at this time if she would like a friend to play with or prefer to be an only dog. Rainey was surrendered through no fault of her own. Her owners were moving for work and dogs were not allowed. Their loss is your gain with this sweetheart.  Rainey is ready to settle down with her forever family.
