About Tina
Tina is a 2-year-old black and tan female Doberman, weighing 65 pounds. Her tail is docked and her ears are cropped (but floppy). Tina is a happy, playful, and energetic girl who is crate and house-trained. She sleeps in a crate at night without issues. During the day while we are not home, she has run of the house, and she has been a very good girl, usually just sleeping on one of her dog beds. She has been left alone for 5+ hours. She happily greets her foster family when they come home.
Tina rides well in the car and will either lie down or look out the windows. She’ll lay on the floor at your feet, chewing on her toys, while you relax and watch TV. Tina enjoys frozen Kong with peanut butter.
Tina is looking for an active home with people who are committed to doing training, activities, and brain games with her daily. She is smart and treat-motivated and will excel with the right training and a loving family. She can be shy when meeting new people, but for folks who are patient, she quickly warms into a velcro Doberman who will follow you all over the house. Tina likes to chase things, so she will not be placed in a home with cats, small mammals, or birds. She would do best in a suburban or rural home with less canine and pedestrian traffic, and at this time, we think she will do best with a fenced yard. She could be a single dog or go to a home with a calm, but playful pup partner, but she would need a slow introduction to any other dogs in the home. Tina had happily coexisted with a 50-pound senior female dog in a previous foster home. She is happily awaiting her forever home. Tina is fostered in Virginia.
Tina LOVES to play fetch! Balls are life! She is very good at bringing the ball back so that you can throw it again. Check out a video of Tina playing fetch:
