About Zeppelin

Hi, my name is Zeppelin and I’m a friendly, gentle, 70 pound 2 year old male.  I’m a little bit on the skinny side but I’m adding weight every few days.

The first few days in my foster home I was very timid and reserved, but after I got used to my new environment my foster family found out just how sweet I am. They tell me now that I wag my tail so much it might fly off! I follow them everywhere in the house now.

I like to take walks outside in the yard and I also like to play fetch with my “Chuck-it” ball. I like to take naps during the day in my dog bed, especially if my bed is in a sunbeam. I’ve had some professional obedience training. I know basic obedience commands like “sit” and “stay”.

I’m calm in the house, but also very alert. If someone knocks on the door, or I hear the doorbell I will bark to let you know. I can be cautious when meeting new people, especially inside the house, but less so when I’m outside.

I’m house-trained and well-behaved in the house. I’m crate trained, and I’ll usually settle down in my crate in about 10 minutes, but I may whimper and whine during that time. I sleep through the night in my dog bed.

In the time I’ve been at my foster home I have not tried to climb on any furniture or beds and I have not chewed on anything other than my “chuck-it” ball and Nylabone toys.

I would love a home where I am not alone for long hours on a regular basis. Doberman experience would be helpful. I will also need a fenced yard, an invisible fence is not ok.

I’m sharing my foster home with another male DAR&E Doberman, Samson.  I was friendly when meeting Samson and we get along well. I’m ok when riding in the car, but I’m more comfortable if someone is sitting with me.  I like to have my toys with me when riding in the car.

If you would like to know more about me, contact DAR&E today.
