All profits from this clinic will go toward the veterinary expenses of caring for neglected, abused, and abandoned Doberman Pinschers. D.A.R.&E. (Doberman Assistance, Rescue and Education) is a non-profit all-volunteer organization operating in Maryland, Virginia, and D.C.
Many, many thanks to Dr. Matt Boothe, DVM, and Dr. Julie Shih, DVM, and all the other cardiologists and associates of CVCA Cardiac Care for Pets for their time and effort on this and many other endeavors, as well as for making affordable health care available to our animals in need. Thanks to their support and cooperation, we can offer this screening to you at significant savings, so please take advantage of this important service!
Confirmations will be sent to registrants approximately one week before the clinic; instructions will be included as well as general appointment scheduling and directions to the clinic. The clinic will be held at CVCA’s Hunt Valley, Maryland, offices. All dogs must be leashed; owners/registrants are responsible for their pets at all times.
THIS SCREENING CLINIC IS FOR DOBERMANS
AND OTHER DCM-PRONE BREEDS ONLY
SCREENING IS NOT FOR DOGS WITH KNOWN CARDIAC PROBLEMS
AND IS NOT TO BE USED AS A PRE-OP FOR AN UPCOMING SURGERY
It is not intended for pre-operative cardiac evaluations, and pets with known heart conditions should see their regular veterinary cardiologist. OFA forms are accepted for an additional $25.00 fee (please bring your completed form). The clinic is open to All AT-RISK Dog Breeds, and dogs that have been fed a grain-free diet and wish to be screened for Nutritional DCM. Please help spread the word by sharing this clinic with fellow pet owners!
Dogs can eat and drink as usual. Anxious dogs that typically get a sedative to go to the vet can take these at their regular doses.
We will have a DAR&E Volunteer inside in the waiting room, checking in pets and taking any payments. Technicians will take pets back for the test. When the pet is brought back out, we will give the owner the report. The Drs will only talk to the clients if there is an issue.
To offer this service at this low cost, we must have a MINIMUM OF 20 dogs or the clinic will be canceled! Tell all of your friends and fellow dog lovers about this event so that we can hold the clinic! Keep in mind that this service normally costs $600 – at this special clinic price, you can have two of your babies tested for less than the regular cost for just one! Please don’t miss this wonderful opportunity! We’re limited to 50 dogs total, so don’t miss out!
