All profits from this clinic will go toward the veterinarian expenses of caring for neglected, abused, and abandoned Doberman Pinschers.  D.A.R.&E. (Doberman Assistance, Rescue and Education) is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization operating in Maryland, Virginia, and D.C.

Many, many thanks to Dr. Ryan Peiffer, DVM, and all of the other cardiologists and associates of CVCA Cardiac Care for Pets for their time and effort on this and many other endeavors, as well as for making affordable health care available to our animals in need.  Thanks to their support and cooperation, we are able to offer this screening to you at a significant savings, so please take advantage of this important service!

Confirmations will be sent to registrants approximately one week before the clinic; instructions will be included, as well as general appointment scheduling and directions to the clinic.  The clinic will be held at CVCA’s Richmond, Virginia, offices.  All dogs must be leashed; owners/registrants are responsible for their pets at all times.

THIS IS A SCREENING CLINIC ONLY – PETS WITH KNOWN PROBLEMS
SHOULD MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE THEIR REGULAR CARDIOLOGIST.

The clinic cannot be used as a pre-op cardio screening, and pets with known problems should make an appointment to see their regular cardiologist. OFA Forms are accepted (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals maintains a health database for breeding and certification), and Holter Reading questions can be answered. Please bring the report. Tell all your friends and fellow pet lovers about this clinic.  This clinic is open to ANY DOG BREED and Cats.

Dogs can have food and water as usual.  Anxious dogs that typically get a sedative to go to the vet can take these at their regular doses.

This clinic will be “Curbside”. (Since we are sharing the building with other services).  We will have a volunteer outside checking in pets and taking any payments. When the pet is brought back out, the technician will give the owner the report. The doctors will only talk to the clients if there is an issue. 

To offer this service at this low cost, we must have a MINIMUM OF 15 dogs or the clinic will be canceled!
Tell all of your friends and fellow dog lovers about this event so that we can hold the clinic!  Keep in mind that this service normally costs $600 – at this special clinic price, you can have two of your babies tested for less than the regular cost for just one!  Please don’t miss this wonderful opportunity!

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:

Registrations must be received by mail or email no later than August 14, 2026, with payment in full by check, PayPal, or Venmo.

Make checks payable to DAR&E. For Venmo, use Doberman Assistance Rescue & Education @DARE1998. For PayPal, please go to www.dobe.net scroll down to fundraisers, and click on the Cardio Clinic you want to attend (please be sure to choose the correct location). Add the appropriate number of pets if registering more than one. Please be sure to use the same name and email address on the PayPal purchase as on the form you emailed.

D.A.R.&E. (Doberman Assistance, Rescue and Education) is a non-profit organization; all proceeds will support dogs in our rescue program.  D.A.R.&E. cannot be responsible for loss, damages, or risks presented by or to you or your dog during your participation in this clinic.  You are responsible for your dog at all times; leashes are required.

Participant cancellations must be received in writing no later than August 14, 2026, to receive a full refund, which will be mailed to the address you provided above. Requests received after August 14, 2026, will not be refunded.
